What you actually win

They finished the conversation. This is the field trip.

You start before light in a valley of Sitka spruce and bigleaf maple. Paul Stamets reads the ground the way other people read a room. Kacey Musgraves asks the questions you would ask. A small group, six hours on foot, and nothing on a schedule except the fog burning off.

Why it matters

When famous people talk about psychedelics responsibly, culture moves.

Normalizing psychedelics is the work. It happens when people the country already trusts treat this as real mental health care, out loud, and say what it takes to do it right.

Where the money goes

Filming is underway. Finishing it is what we need you for.

Cameras are already rolling. What your donation buys is the finish, and then the campaign we build around the release: a national push to destigmatize psychedelics that runs long after the credits do. The film is the megaphone. The campaign is the message.

Good to know
Do I have to donate?
No. Free entry has identical odds. Donating funds the film; it doesn’t improve your chance of winning.
Does the match double my entries?
No. It doubles the money reaching the film. Entries are ten per dollar of your own donation.
Do I need to know anything about mushrooms?
No. Paul Stamets identifies everything that goes in a basket, and nothing is eaten that he hasn’t cleared. The walk is easy ground at a slow pace.
Where does my money go?
To Portal, a 501(c)(3): the film’s animated sequences, free psychedelic safety education, and harm reduction grants. Portal does not own the film.
Is it tax-deductible?
Yes, to the extent permitted by law. A credits listing has no fair market value. Premiere tickets do, and the deductible portion is on your receipt.
What if the goal isn’t met?
Every dollar still goes to finishing the film. The work is paid from one pool, so funding sets the pace rather than deciding what makes the cut.
